Long-Term Storage Method

So i'm gearing up for a big mush grow consisting of 15 syringes of cubensis spore, of which i'll colonize pint jars of wbs then fruit most to bulk substrate and keep the remaining colinized grain for G2G.The reason i'm going for such a large grow at once is because i've been growing mush for quite some time and I would like to move on to the study and cultivation of various psychoactive plants.
What I plan to do with my harvest off this grow is store it away for long-term storage and i'm tossing around ideas as to what methods I could use to preserve the alkaloids contained within the mushrooms best. While I was pondering some methods I thought up one on my own which could work well ,which is listed below.
Storage Tek:
1)Mushrooms are harvested from substrate and allowed time to dry out completly. 2)Dry mushrooms are placed in an airtight zip-lock bag which is aired out then sealed. 3)Zip-lock bag is placed in a dark cool place for several days to insure all remaining moisture and oxygen within the bag disipate. 4)Zip-lock bag is placed in a glass jar. 5)Gelatanious substance is poured into the glass jar to the very top and zip-lock bag is submerged and surrounded by the substance. 6)Jar is sealed air-tight and stored in fridge for long-term storage.
It seems like this method if proven feasable could keep the active alkaloids active for an extremely long time, which is what i'll need. Also my reason for surrounding the zip-lock in the gelatanious substance prior to sealing off the jar is so oxygen degration doesn't occur over long periods of time breaking down the active alkaloids in the mush.
I need some input on this as this is just my personal theory and there may be pitfalls to this idea i'm not aware of

Well, the only thing, I wonder about is the Gelatinous substance. What I do. Dry cracker dry vacuumed sealed in bags put the bags in glass jars, you could even vacuum the jars also put into freezer. This method has worked for me.

i just put mine in a sealed bag, quart size, and throw in 2 desiccant packets from whatever i bought last, they hold up for atleast 2 years this way...much longer i would think, that jsut as long as they made it before they were devoured.

Like everyone has said, a jar is ideal, stick it in the freezer/fridge or a dark cupboard. An airtight jar is usually the best method for storing most psychoactive substances, as most get broken down by oxygen, heat, and light.

i'm using the method to store my shrooms after drying in zip-bags. these bags are put in a platic jar, which is protected by light and air. i store it in the freezer.
i've heard the active compunds in psilocybe semilanceata mushrooms are more stable in such conditions as psilocybe cubensis. is it right?
how long can be these strains of shrooms be stored under these conditions?
thanks for your help
