Casing Ingredient: Organic Traditions (Garden Lime)?

I've been having trouble finding Horticultural Hydrated Lime & Calcium Carbonate. Finally, after visiting several places I settled on "Organic Traditions (brand) Garden Lime: All Natural Neutralizer".
http://www.espoma.com/content.aspx?type=p&id=8&intCategoryID=2
It also says safer than Hydrated Lime... so I was wondering if anyone here has used it before. I won't be ready to case for a few days, but I'd like my first time to be sucsesful. Also, I should note that it is pelletized -so I assume I might need to grind it up? Input appreciated.
Also, I got Calcium Chips which I was told are the same thing as Crushed Oyster Shell. Is that true?

isn't that stuff pelletized?
you don't want pelletized for lime, I am guessing.
if you only go to home depot or whatever, I belive they carry this:

which would be better than what you have. two bucks or it says for like 40 pounds.
I'll check up on it's stats vs. / .
I'll have to get back to you on this one.

It's absolutely worthless for mycology for a couple of reasons. One, it's too course. You need a powdered lime so it will disolve and go to work right away. Limestone flour or oyster shell flour would work if you can't find hydrated lime. That stuff is intended to be put into garden soil in the fall so it can sit all winter and break down, so the soil will be neutralized by the following spring. When the average life of a casing layer is thirty days, those large pellets won't even begin to help.
Two, the Mg content is way too high.
You need hydrated garden lime. Here's a label from a bag of hydrated lime so you can compare both the mesh size and Mg content. Dolomitic lime is absolutely the wrong type. The Hoffman's shown above is great. I've used it for years. You can get the Hoffman's hydrated lime at www.doitbest.com if it's not available in your area. RR

Thanks fellas. I took that junk back and bought that Soil Doctor stuff since they didn't have Hoffmans -or any other brand for that matter.

Okay, I'm back now.
Had a hard time with finding anything on line, so I went to the store to check it out for you.
And I have bad news
that soil doctor stuff that is pictured is not good. yes, it is pulverized lime, which is better than pelletized..
but...
it's DOLOMITIC LIME
sorry.
It was worth a look though. So I would bring that back too, if it is worth carrying.
