Can I birth a 75% colonized jar? (PF Tek)
    #5923178 - 08/01/06 09:00 PM (17 years, 5 months ago)

I got like 12 jars or so, all going good.

I was just wondering if I could birth one of them before it
is fully colonized.

Would you birth an animal, or human at 75% gestation?

Odds are HIGH, it will be weak, immature, and prone to problems.

NOT, a good idea.

Yeah, what tippin said... I mean, do you want your jar to have downs syndrome? Do you want all your other jars to pick on it?

Yes.

Most often pinning on the underside of the substrate.

Exactly- you'll have a lot more satisfaction with that 25% more mushrooms than you would waiting a couple more days. Think about that, you're killing 1 out of every 4 shrooms you'll have. If you have 8 trips you'll only have six, and I take it you're sending half to me, so you'll have 3 trips!

I don't think for myself. I think as though I'm explaining my thoughts to someone else. I'm concerned only for those listening.
