Jack' O Lanterns Glow in the Dark

I found this pretty cluster of Omphalotus olearius growing from a stump next to my parking place at the sacred garden. I went back after it got dark to see if they were glowing. They were, and pretty brightly too, but the level of light they produced was still on the edge of my camera's capability to capture, even with a 15 second exposer. I did manage this blurry green picture of the glowing Jack 'O Lanterns. Don't let Gumby tell you these mushrooms don't glow.

Great find!
Lower ISO, larger aperture, manual focus + Noise Ninja

Pretty cool! Especially for a pic taken in the dark. I think this the first pic of glowing mushrooms that I've seen posted by a shroomery member.

I took about thirty photos, and most of them turned out black.
The one posted was taken with the highest aperture setting, the highest ISO setting, and the slowest shutter speed (15 seconds is a long time to hold a camera without moving ). Other combinations returned only blacked out images. I should have certainly used manual focus though; if the camera can't see the mushrooms, then it certainly will not be able to auto-focus on them.
What does the ISO setting do anyway? I know aperture refers to the size of the hole that lets light in, and shutter speed is how long the hole is open, but what is ISO?

I still have a Omphalotus olearius print somewhere that Mr Mushrooms sent me. He managed to cultivate some on wheat straw in a rubbermaid a few years back
Nice pic

Woah, I was wondering what colour and how bright they glowed. That is pretty cool! Good job staying still for 15 seconds.
