I have never had audio hallucinations when tripping. Is this normal?
I've had some pretty crazy visuals on acid but no audio hallucinations. What are audio hallucinations like. Any examples?

Ah audio hallucinations happen to me. It's quite odd when it happends. It happens in two ways:
1) True audio distortion/hallucination - For exmple. I'll hear something like in slow mo...the best description I've seen of it is in "Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas" where he's in the bathroom and is on LSD when the hippie walks in.
2) Audio enhancement. Music sounds wider fuller richer and just fucking great. That combined with enhanced emotional state is just

yeah ive had both of those happen, when i was listening to the doors song "people are strange", the first few guitar chords played and the song jsut went in slow mo for a minute or so. Music always sounds amazing to me on mushrooms, one crazy song is "The great gig in the sky" by Pink Floyd

SWIM has had all those described above...Salvia tends to produce "true" audio distortion such as normal conversation being put through a wah-wah, delay, and reverb petal. Pot, shrooms, LSD, and MDMA offer audio enhancement consistently. SWIM also hears sounds/voices that aren't there when tripping hard off of LSD and shrooms. Most noticably SWIM's dog walking around or people calling their name.

i've had them many times, usually from MDMA comedown or while incredibly stoned, they drive me nuts, one time while coming down from a candyflip i was lying in bed and hearing footsteps right outside my room..just walking back and forth for about an hour; talk about a head fuck. also while coming home from a club scattered on E and had just smoked a joint heard vivid voices of people in my class just chatting amongst themselves

Ya mushrooms have given me the craziest audio hallucinations. Perhaps they are based on real sounds around me like crickets chirping and whatnot, but to me they sound like a full-fledged chorus of high pitched voices that repeat a certain combination of sounds (not even real words) like "wee wee wee wee woo woo" not necessarily that basic but you get the picture. Other times they also form into familiar words, its weird

it doesn't 'scar' the brain, it is considered a safe pharmacological agent, vitamin B12 deficiency is really the only thing i'd be worried about while binging

You know you're shit
There was a lot of talk about dissociatives causing lesions; however I heard about that in chem classes and never found many cases of it.
It seems B12 defiency is the most dangerous due to demyelination of nervous cells.

I have had intense audio hallucinations such as being out in the woods on shrooms with absolutely no music and yet I am hearing eerie music in my head but through my ears but I can sense it coming from deep within. Then during this a big lawn mower in the long woodsy distance turns on and it was unexplainable but it effected the trip a lot. Audio hallucinations I do not enjoy however they cause excitement in the trip cause its a bit freaky.

i rarely trip without having some kind of audio hallucination i remember one of my first ever shroom trips, i was sitting in my living room with two good friends and i could hear the sounds of animals and trees like i was in the depths of a huge forest. it lasted for ages, i actually thought the others would be hearing it too, and kept saying "wow it's like we're in the forest! listen listen!"
but the most prominent auidio hallucination is one that i get in the 'after glow' of almost every trip (sometimes not on lsd), when i hear the most intricate and beautiful music (would be hard to describe, maybe like a warping/bubbling insect choir with aliens playing 18 string electric sitars lol) the closer you listen, the louder and deeper it becomes. it's beyond anything i have the means of replicating in reality, but lately i've been making more of an effort to channel this into my music writing.
not sure why i hear it and others dont; my partner wants to hear what i lay there describing after so many trips haha. i'm a big fan of sound and music, maybe that's all it is...

I always get what sounds like guitar effects and many times I hear actual music in my head. A bass note I heard my first time on shrooms shook my entire body but noone else heard it. Also a lot of echoing.

I get that and its the most amazing music Ive ever heard. It sounds like electronic music only much organic feeling, like not from a computer. Very alien.

I almost always have some kind of weird music playing in my head when i trip, some times is just nonsence, other times it will be songs i know. The other night i was listening to the random soundss in my head and they morphed into "Sugar Magnolia". Or i will get distortions in music that is really playing, and i have to turn it off, because it just doesnt sound right. Thats usuallly around my peak, but comming up music is esential.

On my first use of LSD, tried candyfliping; i got some crazy audio hallucinations where my ability to comprehend spoken language was all fucked up, friends were talking to me in what sounded like gibberish - at first i thought they were playing a joke on me, I nearly freaked out, I even had to get them to write down what they were trying to say when they were trying to reassure me that it was only a drug & that it would wear off soon enough..

Try listening to "Several species of small furry animals gathered together in cave grooving with a pict" by Pink Floyd, while tripping. Its amazing, they come in with random creature noises and it turns into a whole chrous of sounds. Kinda makes you feel like you are in the cave with the animals
-------------------- I love the feeling when it falls apart. Im slow to finish but im quick to start.

On mush alone i get usually these audio hallucinations (although nor regularly or very frequent): -Weird noises (like a firecracker, a braking train, rustling, snapping or some sounds i relate to plastic) -Loops, Flanges and similar stuff (usually on high levels, when everything begins to behave very weird (i´m absolutly sure my computer played the same tune in a 400+ playlist for at least 3 times in a row and the visulaizer was going through the same presets the same time)) The latter are quite impressing to listen to, while the first can be a bit annoying since they can get Extremly loud. But luckily the effedct mostly fades after a few minutes.
On Shrooms + Nitro or DXM i get additionally to the upper this extremly cool phenomenon:
-Additional accords (The tune that you are listening to is not only heard in the original tone but also with a magnitude of accords above and below, creating an absolutly asonishing soundscape. The most predominant one i remember is during the last refrain of the song "mind over matter" by Iron Savior. I was so overwhelmed i could only mutter: A choir of Angels, they are all coming... And then i began to cry in joy. Until now i get tears in my eyes when i listen to this song, its so beutiful)
-Music (faint things that sound like water, trumpets or a xylophon, electronic or whatever you may hear but with a distinct tone and melody)
Edit: one i forgot:
-Language scrambler: It is described above i think aswell, but this is how i percieve it. Language is broken into sylables and then mixed, time-distorted and seems absolutly random. I go this with a friend while we were talking and i just had a hit of nitro. We continued ou talk about black holes (he´s a major physics freak and knows what he is talking about (well 50% of the time the rest is his own freaky theories), general a very entertaining person the around. Well back to the point: I just came back from the total bliss that nitro and shrooms may bring when i heard him, but i didn´t understand him, he was just talking jibberish, like no language i had ever heard. But somehow my body could understand him and answer in the same gibberish that he spoke. Somehow he deemed the answer fit and the converstion continued. i began experimenting with this, by making up gibberish myself when i answered, not following my bodys advise. Suddenly he couldn´t understand me anymore and was just asking me what i just said. (Later on when i asked him what he percieved: I was just talking normally when suddely began to speak in "tounges" (his words) all around the vocal spectrum and with stuff that absolutly not resembled our language (german). he thought he heard something he deemed asian in it but it was absolutly ununderstandable.
This was a very entertainung experience for me (and a bit frightening to him :p) to see how our vocalisation works, i could not understand him conciously, but my brain did and could answer . I had no access to the knwoledge of speech
These are all i can think of currently

I get many ideas for music (I play guitar and am really in to composition) in my head that play vividly. I tried acid a couple days ago and I kept on thinking I was hearing faint laughter/voices of my friends but they weren't there. I think it helps to have a lot of ambient sound for your mind to play with. There was a fan on in the room I was in, which I really enjoyed.
