Local newspaper article on mushrooms

I recently read an article in my local newspaper about mushrooms and their potential use for study of the brain and most importantly for helping anyone with their mood.
Specifically this scientist is testing the benefits of psilocybin vs. Ritalin and has found that there is no other substance that has sat on the self for 40 years and not looked at in a scientific light.
What this doctor found was that out of 36 people 23 of them had a LIFE CHANGING event that was comparable to the top 10 most significant experiences, among of which (a birth of a child, A death of a loved one, first love, etc.)
Also through tests the discovered that this compound could replace Ritalin and users of depression medications in the near future, as it has been accepted recently by scientists to virtually cure depression and ADD.
I wanted to find the article and post it word for word but this is the main idea of it.

Not to sound like an ass Stro, but it seems to me that ur describing impulse purchasing rather than ADHD. Coupled with the crippling combination of youth and money . I do beleive that ADD and ADHD exist, because my youngest brother had a horrible case of it and would not be able to comfortably focus on something without his medication, it became almost dibilitating, but thankfully he's now able to function quite normally with the medication. But frankly I think that because of the lack of proper anlasys and understanding, many patients with ADD are overlooked, and many who don't have ADD receive treatment anyway. So ide beleive that to understand more about how mushrooms effect this "condition" we need to understand more about the "condition" itself.

Would liek to point out that this info was already procided by Tim lEary, Jonathan Clark, Ralph MEtrzenr and other s in the early 1960s at the Concord Massachussetts State Reformatory for Men.
Leary used placebo, shrooms and mescaline. A few years later he published his findings with positvie results. Then he conducted the Miracle of March Chapel where he turned on over 400 theologians to the same.
Most reported positive findings in their studies.
Four years ago, Rick Doblin of Maps did a follow-up to Leary's original research and again it was with positive results. that paper is posted at Erowid.
I also do not approve of comparing ritalin with mushrooms in therapy. They are two different highs far apart pghysically and chemically and are not a good choice of mixed drugs to do comparative research with.
I also do not approve of using dungeon music (Mozart, Beethoven, etc) to conduct the backgrounds for the text. That is music of depressing times and moods of the century and are bnot good for people who listen to the beattles, stones, red hot chili peppers, rem, pink floyd, maroon five, etc. That is our musid oc today and our time. Better to related to then heavy classical movie with torture themes in the sounds of classical.
I think Fleetwood Mac would have given more positive thoughts tot he study.
I actually talked abotu this with Dobin inthe early 19090s when we lectured together at Chapmand University in Orange County, L.A.
Anyway,
hope your illness subsides soon and disappears as you become more knowledgable in life.
