I just flip my jars upside down without loosening the lid. The holes used for inoculation are enough for air exchange... (and anyway, i dont have a lid on my jars, i just use a few layers of alu foil...)

I use the loosen lids/flip method with PF Tek/BRF and it seems to work well as long as you remain in that optimal temp range of 80-86 give or take. Mine usually colonize rapidly until 85/90% and then I think it starts penetrating the "core" -that's just a bit of speculation on my part tho. I think not packing the substrate helps speed things up too. My fastest so far from inoc to birth was 16 days on my second grow. I think thats pretty good for PF's but I'm sure more experienced growers get faster times.

How long has it been and how much is colonized? And I also recommend the flip.

That happens with my jars too. In my experience the bottom allways gets colonized a little slower than the rest of the jar(s)...
