Superstitious?
    #5918032 - 07/31/06 09:14 AM (17 years, 5 months ago)

Anybody here have any superstitions? Any?

When I played softball I had to go to every game stoned cause I couldn't hit the ball if I didn't.

I touch/knock on wood, for some reason i think it warns off impending danger.
How fucked is that.

I'm religious. I know some people would consider that to be superstitious.

A little bit. Especially when I was younger and played/watched a lot of sports :hehehe:

I actually don't believe strongly in it, but sometimes I find myself doing it for other things in life.
While there probably isn't much truth behind it, I figure it doesn't hurt to try it sometimes.

Yeah, I don't even worry about the bad luck superstition.. I've done things like that on purpose too.

I used to have a "lucky watch", and when I didn't have it for some reason I'd get paranoid easier. Without it, things always seemed to not go my way. Kind of stupid I know
That's about the only example of superstition that I've had other than back when I played sports.

I used to avoid stepping on cracks in the sidewalk, but not because I was afraid of breaking my mother's back(though she has a bad enough back as it is), but rather because I got a sense of order out of it.

I dunno, does that really count as superstition? maybe you just play better when stoned

I don't think i've ever had any true superstitious beliefs... I mean, I'll joke around and knock on wood and the like, but I don't take it seriously at all... Seems kinda foolish to put any stock in superstition when we've got science...

It probably isn't, but some people get all crazy when they play sports or anything for that matter. One dude I know of ate only at McDonalds for a month because his batting avg. was .320 (not the supersize me guy). I figured bein high was the same.

I really don't get to superstitious about anything, though.
