Spore Works/Bad Spores
    #591778 -

I recently ordered some syringes from the spore works. This is the first time I've ordered from them. It's been 1 week to the day sense I inoculated and there is no contamination, but no germination. I've never had to wait a week for germination so I'm guessing that all 6 of the syringes were sterile. Is it posable that they would take more than a week to germinate at 80 degrees and in an extremely humid container?

Yes it is possible, I'm a newbie at shrooms. But I followed the PF Tech and after 7 days there were no signs of germination and no signs of contamination. I was a bit worried because the pf book said 3-5 days. So after the 7 days I decided to compair the pf tek book to other grow guides and I found out that pf tek was the only one that said to germinate in indirect sun light. So I went ahead and put them in complete darkness, and the very next day I saw signs of growth. Now I'm not sure if it was because of the darkness of it just happened to take 8 days.

Depends on the strain and temps, but I had a B+ jar that's just germinating at 15 days after innoculation so I wouldn't be too concerned.

Dude, please don't take the following as a flame, but,
you've been growing for years and ordered 6 syringes
of the same strain?
You really should learn to work with prints. If you can
grow mushrooms, then making prints and syringes is
a walk in the park. After you learn it, the cost (and value
for that matter) of spores drops dramatically. And you
can trade prints for almost nothing, just the costs of a stamp
and a few minutes of prep time.
Maybe I read it wrong. :peace:

puerto ricans taking longer than seven days to show signs of germination is rather strange though. prs are the fastest strain i have ever worked with.

I order exclusively from the Sporeworks and their spores are always active... never had a problem for 2 years. Give your jars some more time
