Laughably shite film!
The director is a douche - watch Overnight, the documentary about the making of the film.

Im not talking about the movie im talking about the situation. The morality of the decision Denis Leary's charecter was trying to make.
Does he try to capture them because it goes agains the very principle of law he trys to uphold? or does he do what he feels he needs to do and help them?

I feel sorry for anyone that actually thinks that movie is deep enough to merit worthwhile discussion. It's sort of like getting excited and sharing your profound breakthrough revelation, only to realize everyone else in the room has already made the connection and left the room 5 minutes ago.

It's a truly retarded movie, don't bother.
The sort of movie a 13 year old with ADD would make.

it's a movie about two christians who take the law into their own hands by killing off mobsters and whatnot. Theres alot of funny parts and some violence and action. All in all its worth watching.
Quote:
imdb.com
Two Irish brothers accidentally killed mafia thugs. They turned themselves in and were released as heroes. They then see it as a calling by God and started knocking off mafia gang members one by one. Willem Dafoe plays the detective trying to figure out the killings, but the closer he was to catching the Irish brothers, the more he thinks the brothers are doing the right thing.

I don't think anyone should watch the movie without seeing Overnight to show exactly how much of a talentless douchebag the director Troy Duffy is.
Quote:
Duffy eventually got 'The Boondock Saints' made, at a fraction of the budget and with Willem Dafoe and Billy Connolly replacing his dream pairing of Kenneth Branagh and Ewan McGregor. Duffy took the film to Cannes where it was refused by every American distributor, eventually having a brief release on five screens.
It really was a shitty movie. I've never met anyone that has a true appreciation for quality cinema that liked this movie.
It's almost a crime how bad it was.

From a hunter to a hunter, we know that film was badass. But to a city clicker, we might become the hunted.

i thought it was a pretty deep scene.I thought Defoe played the part really well, being partially drunk and partially emotional.
This is probably my favorite movie ever.

Just saw it last night, after much prodding and poking from my friends...
It was pretty good. I'd watch it again, just to catch some parts I missed. (The girl talked through the first part!) Liked it though. It definately doesnt flow very well, and seems choppy, but the acting is pretty good, sooooo....
IMO, Good Movie, but Overhyped.
