Fruiting and dunk question.

Hello hello.
My jars are almost ready to be fruited but I have a question:
I plan on dunking before I fruit. If I wait for pins to show inside the jars before I birth them will it disable me from dunking (And damaging the pins) or is it cool to go ahead and dunk with the pins there?
(Also, when providing lighting for my FC is it better to use a flourescant lamp than a 230watt??)

dont wait for pins
dunk once your jar is completely done + another day or 2
i dont know about the light really, i used a desklamp, fluorescent i think
any light will work i believe as long as you can see the cakes

Dunking will not damage pins so long as they are not bumped. The light source is not really important so long as it does not put off a lot of heat. Direct sunlight is to be avoided.

Yeah dog, I figured that out last night.
I put a 200w lamp directly above the jars (about 20cm away) and in the morning I woke up to about 95 Degree's Farenheight in the incubator.
I hope they didn't ruin the jars

Full sprectrum bulbs are good for your grow, but it really doesn't matter so long as you don't roast the jars (i.e., direct sunlight). If your cakes colonized in three weeks or so, I would just let them put out their first wave, then dunk. Basically, if the cake feels light and dry, dunk it. Pins will not be damaged too badly by dunking. GL.

Dunk&roll them, you will get more out of your jars... more moisture, more shrooms
btw. flourescent lamps are ok, make sure you dont have one with reddish glow...
