Prefabricated Grow Rooms?

Hey All,
I'm wondering if any of you have experience with prefabricated grow rooms/tents. I saw some linked to from this board the other day, but couldn't find it.
It was just like a 4'x4' area made of PVC pipe and was supposedly easily assembled and ready to go out of the box. They didn't include lights or anything.
Seemed like a good value/idea to me.
Any experience? Links?
Thanks.

They do seem a little pricey, you could build a box the same size out of a few sheets of plywood for much less, then you could afford to buy an exhaust fan. Just mount the fan so it pushes air out of the top of the box (above the light) and have a hole near the bottom to draw air in.
the prefab rooms probably have the advantage of an easy setup/takedown, though

i use the hydro hut man. i fucking love it to. It's a bit of a PITA to setup if you have a small room, but it's worth the effort. Come to think of it i have two, first pic is the 4x4 room, second pic is the 4x8

BTW the hydro hut has a bunch of advantages to it, the main one being it's pretty much light tight right out of the box. The other is that it's damn easy to hang multiple items due to the design and it helps you keep your growroom neat by allowing cords to be run through the ceiling.

Coda,
Thanks for posting those pics!
Also, how many plants can you fit into those things?

well, it depends on the size of your container. The 4x8 room houses 32 square ft for your plants, the 4x4 is only 16. My 3 gal containers are about 1 sq ft give or take. So that being i can crowd 32 plants into my 4x8 and 16 plants into my 4x4. To maximize your light id say cut that # by 1/2 unless you plan on doing a scrog grow or prune your plants to receive maximum light.
Keep in mind tho to really utilize the space you're looking at having at least 2 lights per unit. Growing my 3 plants in the 4x4 room only two could fit directly under the light with the third being slightly offset. Obviously the plants under the light put out a bit denser bud, thicker top colas, and larger secondary buds. It could possible to use a better reflector (i only have a cool tube), but i still say you're better off buying at least two ballasts if you want to go with more then 3 plants in the small room or 4-5 plants in the big room.

BTW, my calculations do not take into accordance the use of a circulatory fan in the room. The models do come with brackets to hang fans from the ceiling, but i have yet to see a fan that would actually connect directly to the plates. You can always buy a few small fans and then tie them to the ceiling or plate, i prefferred having an oscillating fan on the ground to guard against wind burn and to keep the air moving throughout the unit.
