Brown Rice Syrup, worth experimenting with?

I was at Whole Foods today picking up some organic honey and in the same aisle was this organic brown rice syrup. Has anyone seen or used this stuff? I am definately no mycologist, but I would think that it would be even more ideal for use in growing mycellium than honey water. The ingredients are:

Organic brown rice, water, natural fungal enzymes (less than 1%)

just do a search for it on google and there is more info available.

i am ready to do some experimenting but before i buy the stuff and start wasting spore solution would some of the more technical folks out there tell me if this seems feasible?

It could be worth playing around with but i'de rather stick with what is known to work. I'm not too sure if those fungal enzymes are harmful or not but I believe they are.
