newbie: is this first signs of pinning & overlay question
    #5913306 - 07/29/06 10:07 PM (17 years, 6 months ago)

My casings have been in grow chamber for 6 days. I see these little white dots forming in clusters. They look like the blunt end of a pin, but thery are very white, no brown. I am wondering if this is the firs signs of pinning. Also, after I cased, one of my casing grew very much more aggressively than the others. Even after I put it in the grow chamber it grew some more, basicly creating an entire layer of mycelim. Will this still fruit? If not, can I spawn this with more substrate. One more thing. Since this one seems very aggressive, should I isolate it for future use? Input much appreciated. Thanks.

yes.
they are hyphal knots.

yes it will still fruit, use wax paper to sub the now colonized casing layer.

think for sure of cloning fruits from that tray.
If you get fast, large, potent shrooms on the first flush, you
will be looking good.
pick the most agressive young fruits to clone.
eat them after their biopsy to test their potency.
you don't want to grow tubs full of duds.

Thanks man. It may have been a not so exciting question, but that makes my night. There are a lot of the hyphal knots. Now that I know they are what I hoped they were, I can open a beer and smile. Peace.
