Honey H2O + autoclave bag medium...(PICS)

It seems like an eternity since the last time I posted these words..."I am back growing" and very happy to be doing so, as I have for many years. Lets get to it...

I had 2 spore syringes left over from my previous grow. One of the Z-strain that I had traded for and never got around to using and another of EQ. that I acquired through a trade with another shroomerite. I used the two syringes to inoculate some honey water. As you can see in the pics below there are 5 jars, 3 made it through the p/c in great shape and while the other two did not and were discarded.

The ones with the red circles are the ones that I have inoculated. Left- EQ , Right- Z-strain. The middile one is a bit of an experiment. I had some honey water that had been in the fridge for over 6 months and should have been thrown away. When I found it I was about to do just that, but noticed that it was all pure white inside and as you can see no sign of contams!

So I inoculated the sterile 1 liter jar of honey water using 10 c.c of that honey water.

In addition, I made up a mix of my usual BRF mix. Enough to make 24 half pint jars and instead of using jars placed all of the mix in an autoclave bag. P/c for 90 minutes and inoculated using 8 c.c of z-strain. Just to see what happens.

I think it wil be, very difficult to not have contams. become a factor, but we wil see. If it does work out, I wil spread the colonized mixtrue over a moist layer of perlite in my growing chamber

For now, all have been placed in my fazorite incubator (cooler with a heating blanket) and wil be kept at 85 degres and see what happens. I continue to prepare jars, but enjoying the experimenting too.
