Went hunting last night after a heavy rain, found these growing straight from cow patties in an open field, any help will be appreciated.
Habitat- Found growing from cow patties in central arkansas. open cow field Gills-see print and pictures. Stem- light brown color, snaps when bent Cap- Some white, others golden brown to white towards the edges of the cap * Spore Print- Black Bruising- if i look close, it looks *sort of* blue, see pictures.

I thought the top pics looked like a lot of blue in the caps on both side of them...the stem no blues...

It looks alot like Panaeolus antillarum and I would have to agree the they are not active. Any bluing you see if likely due to indirect lighting. Look at the spore print, it is blue as well, but how many species have a blue spore print? None per my simple keys of North American species.

It still looks black to me. I don't see any blue bruising anywhere in the pics.
The blue bruising from most active mushrooms is very distinct.. if it was really there, you would have no doubt. (note: there are a few exceptions)
Maybe monitor/color/video card settings are a factor for some people.
I still say not active.

Like others have said, if you're not sure about seeing a distinct blue in the agitated areas of the fruit body, then they are surely not active Cop. cyanescens (Pan. cyanescens).
You would definitely see a sharp blue bruising, if they were Copelandia cyanescens. They contain large amounts of psilocybin and psilocin.
