Hmmm...they're appearing ok on my side. Anyone else having problems?
Unfortunately, I'm on my way out the door to work. Just uploaded some new finds behind the house here, so I'll be back after midnight to post my findings, and fix the links.
On that note, the only orange mushrooms I found behind the house today were not on logs. They were these:

Much more red than the previous mushrooms, and also growing from the earth, not a log or wood. Currently working on a spore print. More details after work.

Oh lord, I loaded this page twice before with failure to load the photos, and as soon as I open my mouth, I load the page and see the photos! -_-
Nevermind then, I suppose it was a glitch on my end.

Its good to see sombody who is into mushrooms in general not just like I WANT TO GET HIGH OFF THESE !! I give a mushroom rating of number 5 not to be 4 or even a rating of 3 but 5 and the total number of the said rating should be equal too and no less than 5

About a 15 minute drive away behind my grandparents home, I found these tiny guys, which looked like little targets!

Same thing?
We can rule out Jack' O' Lantern's for the orange mushrooms, due to the slightly scaly caps, which point toward Gymnopilus. On closer inspection, they are probably an inactive species of Gymnopilus, but I would bet 100 to one on the mushrooms in the last picture being Ps. caerulipes.

I was thinking about the alleged "Jack O' Lanterns", and you're probably right. Don't Jack gills tend to run down the stem a bit?
As for your picture of Ps. caerulipes, I'm indeed convinced. I never really paid a lot of attention, but there is a blue tinge to the cap around the outer section of the white ring. I always just referred to them as "target shrooms".
Again...when I found these, the only mushroom I could ID on my own was a morel! Not that it matters anyway, as I have no intent on ever consuming an active anyway, but it's definitely makes this guy a lot more interesting! I love any info I can get, including whether or not it's an active. So thanks!
Thanks for the ID guys. And to think I didn't even expect one! haha!

Have you tried them in the past and don't trip anymore, or are you just not curious about the experience?
Yes, Jack 'O Lanterns have decurrent gills.

No, I have never consumed an active mushroom, nor will I. That's not to say I point fingers at those who do. It is just my personal choice to avoid the consumption of such.
Also - that's not to say I don't have an interest in active mushrooms. Knowing that my mushrooms were active has made mushrooming even more interesting!

After all the controversy, and some searching, I managed to find some more Gymnopilus on the same log, almost 2 months after the first siting.

Here are the gills.

The specimen was too dried out for a proper spore print. My guess is Gymnopilus fulgens. Non-active?
