Will alcohol kill spores?

Does alcoho kill everything it comes in contact with? For instance, while making a spore syringe, I swab the needle w. alcohol, if there's still a litte left on the tip when I use it to scrape spores into the shot glass, will it hurt the spores? Thanks!!!!

I doubt it would kill all the spores but just incase... swab the needle with alcohol then light it with a lighter.. it'll burn clean away

I can't imagine a needle carrying enough on it to kill a whole
print but you never can tell. The first spores to soak it up would
surely be dead. I've never used a needle to scrape spores. Seems
like it would be easy to poke through the foil. I've found that
a round tipped scaphel works really well. I dip it in alcohol
and it evaporates in about 5 min or less. A lighter would also
work well but can build up soot(sp?) unless it's one of those
torch lighters. Hope that helps. :peace:
