Measurment of psilocybin and psilocin?

The Magic Mushroom Dosage calculator on this site seems to have some very specific numbers for the amount of psilocybing and psilocin in mg for different species of mushrooms. How were these numbers derived? How could I accurately measure these levels at home? What kind of equipment would be needed? Gas chromatography?

It all depends on how accurate you want to get. If you just want a rough estimate, you really only need a good balance and an appropriate solvent. A vacuum dessicator would be nice as well. Anything more, such as GC or MS at home is going to be difficult. The machines are fairly pricey and usually have special power and gas requirements.

What method would be most easily done for me? What kind of solvent is right to use? I don't have access to many lab supplies and my scale is good to .1g.... probably wont help much here..
