I can't wait to see this finish. I also can't wait to know what potency is like from a straight coir grow

Cool oatman,
I'm kinda stuck with coir or cased grain, so I would be interested in how the potency and yield is flush to flush compared with h/poo We all know poo is priceless. But a good substitutes would be good.
Did you use any kind of additives in the coir.??

uhmm the potency will be weakened if anything by coir , its got little to no nutritional value to the cubensis , its simply ground coconut shell , coir is used as a casing layer not a substrate , thats ridiculus , waste..

This has been proven before, but its HARDLY a waste of time OR effort - lots of people who want to do a small hobby grow in the city can't get poo easily, or can't be bothered.
Coir is a great alternative for these people, and if you add a few nutes (hydrate the coir with seaweed extract or worm castings) then your cooking with gas.

Wrong. That's nonesense. Coir is as nutritious as horse manure, and is not suitable for use as a casing layer due to the nutrition unless massively diluted with vermiculite. That's why coir casings overlay so often. Coir is far better suited as a substrate, and there is not one single shred of evidence that coir does not deliver superior potency in cubensis. RR

i've never had issues with potency on coir... flush after flush... its consistent with an isolate, and inconsistent with multispore... like pretty much anything else its my preferred substrate. the only down side to coir is your fruits take forever to dehydrate because they're so damned big.
nice grow glad to see somebody post something proper while using coir because theres some confusion about it and frankly it seems underrated i'm confident you'll agree when you get to trying some of those

How do you incubate those large casings? In the greenhouse without humidity and light?
Also, how does that foil work for you? Any signs of it getting eaten?

Thanks Mitch...
Nope, I believe that for Mycellium to burn throgh aluminum, it's gonna hafft be sitting in there for a real long time. Using aluminum foil in the bottom of casing trays is a must for me now. The foil sticks to mycellum and pulls back when the casing layers shrink. Keeps side pinning down.
I have also found out that Aluminum foil will keep any light out, to also keep side pinning down to almost none. Get the long rolls
