FLA: A Collection of freshly picked Psilocybe cubensis.
    #5908842 - 07/28/06 12:41 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

Here is an image of some of the harvest from today:

The Cubes were covering the field.

No trespassing was done in harvesting these wild Shrooms.

'Saw about 400 Cubes in under an hour. 'Collected about 200 total.

All the Cubes found were growing in the open field, under the sun with no shade.

'Did not see a single Copelandia.  :smirk: Copelandia was what was really being looked for.

But it was fun none the less. Picking Cubes in decent numbers.

Did it take you a while to find the field or was it a field you had already been familiar with?

doesn't do me any good to live in southwest FL since i can't seem to find any fields that i wouldn't get busted trespassing on.. fuckin' weak. i know the fields around here have to be loaded, the conditions are perfect.

nice finds tho..

This is the first season hunting in this field.

Today, driving by a different pasture, there were big golden caps shining in the sunshine, literally littering the pasture. So the season is definately upon us. You just have to get out there and look!

If you do not have legal permission to be in a cow pasture, than a good suggestion is to just not go at all.

Trespassing can be a dangerous practice, especially when it is just for some silly mushrooms that grow from cow sh.t.

And even with legal permission, a copper could still see you picking and try to catch you.. So it is wise to just not trespass. 'Cause even with permission remember that the coppers can basically do whatever they want, and coppers actually like to bust shroom pickers. Just because of the law (Fiske vs the state of Florida) that says you can unknowingly legally possess freshly harvested shrooms, does not mean that the coppers will not arrest you for something else.

Right now as I type this (here in Florida) there are probably thousands of Shroomers out there right now doing it (trespassing for mushrooms). And it wouldn't be to far out there to think that in most counties of Florida there are coppers out there (right now) trying to bust Shroom pickers. It's a real game of cat and mouse that the coppers and shroomers play.

Shroom season really gets a lot of people so excited that they want the Shrooms bad enough that they will take the risk of trespassing. Today alone in Florida there were probably dozens of incidents with coppers trying to bust shroom pickers.

So everyone please be very careful.

GG

Yep... Nothing worse than a pissed off land owner or a pissed off copper looking for mushroom pickers!

The police often form an alliance with the land owners, and they try to catch the shroomers together.

And believe it, most land owners want the trespassers prosecuted.

There have been more than one stories of police helicopters landing in shroom fields trying to bust shroomers.

It's really no joke. So shroom wisely or don't shroom at all. :mushroom2:

Ya greatone your right on the fact that you can posses mushies but if caught even on a friends field or someone you got permission to be on the pigs will still find a way to bust your ass. Nice find man Ive been all over an have only found non-actives an a bull that charged cuz their was a cow that had strayed from the heard, im one lucky bastard as i was only like 30 feet from the fence
