There are differing schools of thought, however........
Optimal h/poo, compost & rinsed out c/poo all works.
I prefer a compost for cyan's.

c/poo + straw would make the beginnings of a good compost pile.

Because of the variables of what one has on hand. I hesitate to pass out my personal recipe. Simply because, what I have, and the platform, as well as means to water it, and turn it, will differ.
However, the 2 links below, contain all the information on the how, what, and why, you would need to formulate your own custom compost.
These links are very informative, and from EXPERTS in this arena.

thanks for that, i may start a small pile myself. Iv just been for a walk and came back with a bag full of cpoo. On some of it i can notice wild mycelium so it must be old enough to use for pan cultivation. Im really going to have to blend this up and mix it with straw and verm to air it up seeing as its dense stuff.

I would suggest you throw some fine chopped straw into a tote, and let it soak for at least a few days, before use. Even add a bit of the c/poo to the soak. It will smell foul after a couple days. But, once drained and thoroughly rinsed. The foul smell, goes away.
The trouble with dry straw, is the waxy coating. If you can degrade that. Colonization goes much faster.
