That juice is the worst taste I have ever, Ever, EVER tasted in my entire life. That juice is fresh cool lemonade on a hot summer day compared to either peyote or ayahuasca. Toughen up if you are going to be a true entheogen explorer!

A food dehydrator is the way to go as far as drying..Takes about two days though.but it should be brittle rock hard...? what do you bake the resin down on so its easy to scrape every last bit up on,,Aluminum foil?..Then pack into caps..Done this with dried powdered plant but not resin yet....Check out this link to a fast way to fill many caps for under 20 bucks.....http://www.jomarlabs.com/capem.asp

just a thought, as i have never tried cactus, and my san pedro seeds dont wanna grow. but here is an idea that might work??? instead of using water, use everclear alcohal. do it just like you said, blend it up, strain out the plant matter. then put in a pyrex pan, and let the everclear evaporate. scrape up the residuals, and put em in a few capsules. wouldnt this work? now i have a question....remember i never messed with a cactus. i am planning on buying a cutting ( or trading a salvia plant for it ) how do you cut some off for consumption, with out killing the plant?

As a crude extract I suppose that could work. The addition of lemon is to convert the mescaline to a salt form, that will be more easily absorbed by the body, resulting in a quicker onset and less lost material.

Here is the method I used recently. It worked great, the trip report is posted in the Spirituality and Philosophy forum under a thread called Psychedelic Healing. I started by cutting about 13 inches of stalk off of the cactus. A pretty hefty amount of plant material for one dose. I had read many preparations that involve despineing and skinning the cactus. But I soon realized that chopping up the cacti whole was much easier and less time consuming. From what I read the end product should be no different. Then the cactus was chopped like a carrot into small pieces, then placed in a blender with a little water and ground into a pulp. The frothy liquid was poured into a large pot along with about 4oz of lemon juice to help extraction. This mixture was then boiled lightly for about 25 minutes. After letting mixture cool it was poured through a T-shirt cloth to filter out pulp. Liquid was saved and pulp replaced into pot along with more water and lemon juice. The process was repeated two more times to make certain extraction was complete. All three liquids were combined into one. I froze the liquid overnight. The next evening I decided boiled the mixture down to about a coffee cups worth of liquid.

iv done is this way a couple of times and worked fine, no puking or nothin. -take the cactus and chop it to sections (i cut them to about the size of my palm). -get the transferant plastic-like foil off and de-spine with a knife. -put in the freezer overnight. this brakes down the cells make the crushing part much more easy. - take the frozen pices and start grinding them (u can let them sit for 15-20 so it'll be easier). i use a regular hand grinder (like u use to grind cheese or vegtabels, jusr a metal reqtangular with holes) its a bit cold on your hands but berable. when i grind them up the grinded stuff start to de-freeze and turn to a slimy, geenish, semi-liquid goo. when u get to the woodish core, throw it away. -after grinding it u need to dry it. i just put it on a large piece of tin foil (do it from two layers, so i t wont tare) and make as much surface area as possible. then u can put it in the oven for about 3 hours, stiring it once in a while. or just let it stay in the sun, but that take days (about 3-6 at mid summer, and its very hoy here in mid summer). if u do decide to put it in the oven, dont put it in higher tempeture than 150 C, otherwise the goo will lose potency. after it has all dried out ur left with powder a brown-greeniush powder. the last times i used it i, or pur it in milk and drank it all up (not for the weak hearted) or put it in some dairy yougurt eich is terably grose... to consume this powder is a harsh job, but i didnt puke from mescaline ever. i now have these two cactuses and i think ill do this proccess, but also do an alcohol extract at the end. it'll make life much easier. a growin original
