Its true,
the standard do good in school, to get into a good highschool, to get into a good college and get a good job with a good wife and family plan is what im talking about.
sooo lets start at the family part 50% of all mariages end in divorce, then you also have to consider the ones that didnt divorce and arent happy.
Then theres the good college work so you get a good job. well i know enough people that have gone to school, and got the degree and still work minimum wage....
working back from that you have years and years of schooling that leads up to the above listed disapointments and downfalls.
not to say that there arent people that follow the path, and it works out for them.... but as we established with the mairage issue, im betting its well below the %50 probably around %25
the rest of the %75, the ones who followed the societal path, and fell off somewhere along the line, find them selves years past the point of no return, stuck in a job they hate, working 40 a week, paying child support for kids they dont see and wondering where it all went wrong.....
for shame

zippoz "in times of widespread chaos and confusion, it has been the duty of more advanced human beings - artists, scientists, clowns, and philosophers - to create order. In such times as ours however, when there is too much order, too much m management, too much programming and control, it becomes the duty of superior men and women and women to fling their favorite monkey wrenches into the machinery. To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption" "People do it every day, they talk to themselves ... they see themselves as they'd like to be, they don't have the courage you have, to just run with it."

These next two years will be nothing but school and BS work for me. After that I'm done with school and I'm going to be in charge of my life.
A lot of people get stuck going down that path because they get scared at a young age and think if they don't do the school thing they won't have a chicken's chance in hell the rest of their life. So they make paranoia induced decisions, and keep making them, thinking that they're going to die an unfulfilled life. And most of them do, sadly.
I've led a very boring life so far. But if I die tomorrow it really won't matter what I've been doing for the past 20 years. So I guess I do what I want, when I want, and if it doesn't work out oh well. If I get another chance after this life, awesome. If not, awesome.

The reason it's all like that is because most people start out trying to take responsibility for making shit work and when it doesn't they point their finger.

Going to school enables you to leave as many doors open as possible and give yourself an opportunity to be competitive in the job market. You aren't entitled to shit just because you made it out of university in six years with a bachelors in communications.
I bet the majority of those minimum wage grads went to some buttfuck school took an arts degree and did more partying then studying.
