The price of oil has nothing to do with Oil companies and everything to do with oil speculators.

The price of a barrel of oil is driven the demand, demand is facilitated in the market.
The oil market is a funny place.
The unrest has created some fear.
Fear in turn leads to speculation. On what you say? On the future.
This lends itself to stock piling, thus driving up the price of oil.
It has nothing to do with government and evil oil companies and everything to do with speculators.
that is all.

True.
There are alot of people making an ass-load of money betting on which way the price of oil will move. The sad part is that every bet for higher prices makes the price go up, just like odds at the track. It becomes a self fulfilling prophesy which drives the prices of gas up. I heard the other day that the oil companies could maintain there profit levels if gas were $1.60 per gallon. The other buck fifty or so we pay for a gallon of gas goes into the pockets of commodity traders.
It's a scam, devised by the rich to get richer at the expense of the poor. It's called a free market.

I don't think it is a scam, just a natural consequence.
It sucks none the less though.
I just wanted people to know that isn't our evil government's fault of the conservatives fault. Election times are looming near and people need to know things like this. Simple fundamental truths of a free market economy. That way can devote more attention and energy towards real issues. Like welfare and education and military philosphies and economics and shit like that.

"The price of oil has nothing to do with Oil companies and everything to do with oil speculators."
false.

Quote:
behind the speculative movements are big oil companies. Western companies use the conflicts at the oil production regions to obtain larger profits. Noting, the anomaly should be questioned as to who profits most from it.
obviously, this will never be admitted, nor proven. so Oil speculation.. is, well.. speculation.
