it seems that by keeping the heater at its lowest setting, the internal temperature (read as outside by the thermometer) seems to remain nicely on 85-86 i live in the southern united states where its warm, though i have a fan on at the moment.
comments/suggestions?
just trying to gather up as much info as possible so i wont have to ask again. thanks any1 who responds!

how many times are you gonna ask about your damn incubator?
we told you in a few threads now the optimal temperatures. here's where to apply a little "common sense"
if its too warm with the heater at its lowest setting, turn the heater off. 'tis not rocket science.
if you're still confused about measuring the temperature, you should take the temperature of the air inside the incubation chamber. not on the outside, not of the water, not of your momma's armpits... inside the chamber. you want it 82-84. again if its warmer than that with the heater on its lowest setting, turn it off.
i already told you, its better to err on the safe side, and use lower temperatures than higher ones. even if left in a 70 degree room with no incubation, your jars will colonize fine. it may take a few days longer, but a few days longer is better than having it completely stall either due to dryness or bacteria from going too high.
its really not complicated.
doesn't mycodome claim to have great customer support? pester them for a while, they'll tell you the same thing. i promise i'm not making this stuff up.
not trying to be a dick either but this is at least the 3rd thread in 2 days. at least post follow-up questions in your original thread (and maybe consider reading the actual answers you got) before starting a new one.
(edit, i take that back, there's actually 5, count 'em, 5, threads now about incubating/temperatures/your mycodome. relax.)

hehehehehehe
well, now my question has been thoroughly answered.
thanks for the interpersonal jolt by the way.
i apologize for my add/adhd/ocd/har type sillyness.
common sense was never a strong point, being as that i was raised by domesticated apes with no sense of actuality beyond their myopic superstitious dogmatic psuedo christian fundamentalist materialist mentalities, ahahahahahaha
thanks for teh dose of light!
spanx u
oh and by the way, before i read your replies, i did just that.
i unpluged the heater, let it attain a certain resting temp, then plugged it back in on the lowest setting. it's at about 84 which is fine.
loved the post. "momma's armpits" LOL thanks again myco bruddah.
