They probably already do or are trying to work on making it work.

for the same reason farmed salmon doesn't sell for the same as fresh.
it isn't as flavorful or healthy.
farmed lobster, if it's even possible, wouldn't net half the price per pound as a wild harvested.

im guessing they take 10+ years to mature, and it would be hard to compete with a ship which can scoop them up in bulk? just a guess but im probably right

If anyone is the Tofu of the shroomery, you take the cake.
Anyways, check your PMs. You must not have received my recent love letter. Either that or you are ignoring my feelings for you again.

Great, so not only would you kill them by dropping them alive into boiling water, but you'd make them live out their lives packed into a tank so tight they couldn't move. Nice job, sadist.

They will have all the essentials, sex and food
Taking them from the wild and putting them in a tank is bad, especially since they have had better but the generation thats born into the tank doesn't know theres a better life for them beyond the tank, theres no way they can desire something they never had.
I'm also doing my research and im going to find out what they need to live comfortablly before I do anything.
