We do that all the time with the Skink we have.
Its a foot and a half long green lizard, and we lose it ALL the time. It can camoulflage itself really well, and it loves to crawl under stuff, so its a pain the ass to find. The girl lets it out all the time when we have company, and when she's bored, and then gets high and forgets. I found it out on the balcony the other day, right before it rained for like, 6 hours. This is a desert creature. Bad News.

When I was younger I had a hermit crab.. named him "Krang" lol.
One day the cat knocked his cage over and he was on the loose all day while I was at school.
The crab somehow made it all the way into the living room and under a reclining chair. He wasn't hurt either.
I bet that was one heck of a frustrating day for him.
He lived for years... seems like I had him forever.

Might have kept it for a while.. I seem to remember giving it new shells a couple times. They actually do crawl out and get into new shells I think. (memory is vague)

I use to have hermit crabs... those bitches smell really bad.
So I cooked most of them and ate as many as I could stomach. They taste like shit. This was all on a dare. I still wear the necklace I made out of the shells on the anniversary of that dark day.
yeah I'm actually kinda bored and the pub is slow today

I've got big open house with hardwood floors. It'd be easy to spot him, if I could remember to keep an eye on him

is that an ocelot?? looks badass, it would also be sweet to own a hyeena (sp?), even if you had to take it in public with a muzzle on..
