Substrate Potency vs. Yeild

I have noticed some potency variation in the fruit from BRF formula. The size of fruit tends to look rather consistent though. Does anyone know which type of substrate for standard cubensis yeilds higher potency on average? Or which substrate tends to produce the biggest fruits? The cubies I tend to do most research on are Puerto Ricans and PESA. Thanks

I'm casing now as well, what is your exact formula for your substrate? What is flax?

What are your favorite rye and millet formulas? What is millet exactly? I am thinking I'm going to try 3 different substrate formulas on my next batch so I will be able to see the difference. I'd really appreciate if you could post those so I could get cookin'

Flax is flax seed, you can also get it as flax seed flour. A little works good, but to much will make the substrate too sticky. Millet is what you find in finchseed or other types of bird food. Its used as a substrate to.:)bluhoney

I recently did some similar tests with BRF, rye flower, and quiona.
What I learned: Stick to BRF. Rye flower came in second, and
quiona sucked. Both in colonizing speeds and fruiting returns.
I couldn't find dark rye flower but I've heard it works great. I
also read the same about quiona.
I've since started to work with finch seed, straw, and horse
and cow manure.
And currently have test going with fresh ground BRF and fresh
ground finch seed. But I'm not far enough along with any of
these to voice my opinions quite yet.
Just my 2 cents.
