A substrate will often tell you

When it is fully colonized.

How so? One might ask.

This is a wbs spawned 12 quart h/poo tray, well on it's way to becoming fully colonized.

Once it is fully 101% colonized.

I would wager, some exposed mycelium with become rhizomorphic.

Meaning, it has 101% colonized all substrate within the tray , and is sending out the message through the mycelium network.

GO FIND MORE.

It then forms rhizomorph's to do so.

Jars of WHAT?
You may have a VERY aggressive strain.
That is a good thing.

Certainly, there are variables.
Sometimes they will, sometimes NOT.

Yeah as far as signs of rhizomorphia I usually see it randomly, here and there.

Much less on casings, guess I need to take that into account.

Most of my bulks will do just as you say tip.....but lately I have been casing and fruiting a few days before 100%...ive just been getting better pinsets that way, despite the 23213412312 different opinions I see being debated everyday in the cult about that issue lol.

Nice pics!

hi..sis

I usually get some pretty aggressive action in the jars....

and sometimes after I spawn the jars into a bulk substrate...

the mycelium will climb up the sides of the fruiting trays!~

They are Amazonian I have some rizos after about 50-60% are reaching clear across to the other side of the jar and starting colonization where the was no inoculation point. Is Amazonian generally aggressive or did I just get lucky?

my half gallon jars are the same

maybe it happens cause the spawn is looking to grow the wrong way, meaning in the direction where there are no more grains?!?!

I keep my half gallon jars pretty close to optimal temp at 80 degrees

btw can you use these highly rhizo spawn jars as masters for g2g transfer, gut instinct tells me NO
