Jars of WHAT? You may have a VERY aggressive strain. That is a good thing.
Certainly, there are variables. Sometimes they will, sometimes NOT.
They are Amazonian I have some rizos after about 50-60% are reaching clear across to the other side of the jar and starting colonization where the was no inoculation point. Is Amazonian generally aggressive or did I just get lucky?

my half gallon jars are the same
maybe it happens cause the spawn is looking to grow the wrong way, meaning in the direction where there are no more grains?!?!
I keep my half gallon jars pretty close to optimal temp at 80 degrees
btw can you use these highly rhizo spawn jars as masters for g2g transfer, gut instinct tells me NO
