How to keep spore prints?

How do I keep spore prints to make sure they'll be usuable later on? How long will they be usable for?

I keep mine in a "Index card box".....in my cool basement.
You want to keep them in a dark cool place.

They will last for years if stored properly.

Not if they are sealed well, there are usually a lot of contaminants in a fridge.

I just keep them in a small safe.
