1 out of 4 no growth

We inoculated four jars of substrate 12 days ago. Two of the jars are doing very well, one is slower but still steady, our fourth jar never showed signs of growth. We reinoculated the one jar 6 days ago to see if it would produce as the others have. All four jars were inoculated at the same temperature and using the same syringe. Any ideas as to why jar four has no growth what so ever? Just curious.

very likely. and why you should give up on non-growing jars. because if it is bacteria, and you stuck your syringe in there, bad news.

WHAT IF, you just made some new jars and innocced them with the LC you have instead of wasting your time and playing what if?

I played the "what if" game with a PF jar shortly after my first grow. It never showed signs of growth or of what I would have then thought to be contamination. I shot it up with some LC of the same strain originally used, and incubated. 4 days later, there was HEAVY myc growth, and we did the happy jar dance. 3 days later, that's 7 days days after the 2nd insemination, FUCKIN' AWFUL BLUISH GREEN FUNKY NASTY MOLD EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!! Don't bother with it man...remake the jar, rePC, and reinject. Snot really worth the wasted time, high hopes, and shatterred dreams, crushed soul, and obliterated spirit of watching beautiful white become the funk-nasty.
Peace.

did you shake your syringe well before inoculating? it is possible that you shot all of your clusters into those jars and just injected water into the fourth. Just a thought... Make sure you shake well prior to and in between inocs.

Yeah it was shook and mixed well. The second inoculation had a big ol' chunk of spores. But we're not giving up on it. Just keeping it around but do not really expect much!

Where did you get the syringe.. maybe it was a very impotent syringe and only a tiny water with a very small amount of spores went in the last one.. If thats true it and your jars have verm on top maybe it will grow fine just take forever because its growing from such a small amount of spores.

My guess would be poor spores, you cooked em, or they dried out. I think it is the spores though. You will not always get every jar unless you are doing your own prints/syringe or your getting dark syringes from a vendor which I doubt.

Good point.. so your saying do the same thing I did to the last batch to get em working? ... I just knocked em up 3 times and they finally started getting noticable myc

That's ridiculous, and a waste of spores.
If your doing things right you don't need to inoculate 3 times to see growth.
