Do you even need casing? When the jars are fully colonized, can you just put the cakes in the fruiting chamber? Fruiting chamber with be filled with 2 inches of perilite.

you don't have to case cakes. Some people do. I would dunk them at least though. I mean it wont hurt to dunk them then roll them in fresh verm and lightly mist before going into the FC

cool, will do. If I use casing though, in a cake form, when the myc spreads and pins begin to show (3-5 dyas usually), do I just grab the cakes out of the casing and put them into my FC. Just wanting to know because I hear casing is a good method for alot of mushies to grow.

i think you might be confusing the two methods. when you do casings you crumble up the cakes and lay them with a layer of casing mix over the crumbled cake. the shrooms fruit directly from this, you dont have to take the cakes back out or anything

I might be...but what i've seen done was that ppl taking the cakes (fresh out of the jars) and placing them into a aluminum tray with 50/50 tek. And adding another layer of verm ontop. Covering that with aluminum foil and letting it sit so pinning can pook through the top layer of verm. Then taking the cakes and placing them into a FC for the rest to grow. I wast just wondering if this is better to do.

they aren't taking the cakes out of the container. they are putting the whole tray in the FC. you do one or the other, cakes, or a casing.
not really efficient IMO to leave the cakes whole in a casing tray, you should crumble them as mentioned above, but some do leave them whole filling in the gaps with casing material and casing over top. but they leave them as is and put the whole contraption in the FC. when you see peoples' pictures of lone cakes in their FCs, they were cakes the whole time. you need to actually read through the teks, if you just look at pictures and make assumptions you'll get things confused.

no man, take the cake out. Submerge it in clean water for 12 hours or so. At the end of the 12 hours or so, prepare a clean bowl or dish by putting some fresh verm in it. Take the cake out of the water and put in the the verm and roll it over until it has a light coating of verm on it. take the now dunked and rolled cake and put it into the FC. after you have them all in there lightly mist all of the cakes until the verm is appropriately moistened..
there you go, dunked and rolled cakes ready for fruiting..
EDIT: or you can cruble and case like CC said..
