Its a big mofo that grows these flowers once a year every year. The flowers only open at night too.
Anyone got a clue what sort of cactus this is?

I am 99% sure it is cereus and 100% sure it is not san perdo.
Look closer at the stems of the flowers on the pedro. They are different than yours.
I am going by the picture you posted anyway. Not the erowid pictures. Many cactus have white flowers. Its the ribs and aeroles that I am looking at.
Look close at how flat the ribs are on your cactus then google cereus peruvianus and have a look at those. Then look at some different pictures on erowid and notice the ribs on the pedro.

I'm with Mr. Hooray- that's definitely NOT a T. Pachanoi, and is most likely a Cereus Peruvianus. The flowers are beautiful, though!

Yes, the 'V' notches are much to pronounced/deep to be Pedro. Definitely some sort of Cereus.
Very beautiful plants, nonetheless

I had one like that once, do yours make pods with seeds? Mine did, but I never had any luck in growing the seeds. I go with the other guys, in that its probably not Pedro.

Have a look at the flower bud shot on erowid again, you may notice that the T.pachanoi ones are hairy. Trich means hairy in Latin or Greek, which ever language they use for the taxonomy. All Trichocereus flower buds seem to be hairy.
