Fixing leaking faucets on a tub
    #5897632 - 07/25/06 10:01 AM (17 years, 6 months ago)

Can anyone tell me what might be the cause of water dripping from the mouth of the faucet in the tub? Is there anyway to fix this without bringing someone in?

I've already tried tightening the screws and handles and whatnot on the tub that hasn't helped. I also stripped (I think) one of the handles or connectors to the handles.

At this point, if I can get the water to stop dripping, I'll use my other shower/tub and leave this one alone for a while.

The faucet has been dripping for 5-7 days now. Currently the rate is about one drop every 5 seconds. Closing the trap to turn on/off the shower doesn't help either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yea leaking faucets are almost always cause of an old o ring not sealing tight..

you can definately fix it yourself
