Driving

I like to drive around. Accelerating onto the highway gives me such a sense of freedom, just knowing I could ANYWHERE. The river, someone's house, a coffeeshop, another town or city, deep into Algonquin.
When I get restless, I drive and when I drive, I listen to music. Lately it's been Jack Johnson.
She's just waiting for the summertime when the weathers fine She could hitch a ride out of town And so far away from that low down good for nothing mistake making fool With excuses like baby... that was a long time ago But that's just a euphemism if you want the truth he was out of control But a short times just a long time when your mind just won't let go

I love it so much. It's soul music for the band-aiding. Jack teaches me things with his groovy rhymes about life and love.

Oh my god, driving is such a powerful tool, i think that most people find it to be an inconvience rather than an expierence.
I used to spend hours and hours at night just driving, seeing how far i could go, lighting up a Joint and turning thhe raidio up.
good times good times

In such times as ours however, when there is too much order, too much m management, too much programming and control, it becomes the duty of superior men and women and women to fling their favorite monkey wrenches into the machinery. To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption" "People do it every day, they talk to themselves ... they see themselves as they'd like to be, they don't have the courage you have, to just run with it."

anything over 5 hours is too much man, too much. makes my ass and back hurt. 1.5 hours is great, especially on windy mountain roads.
I prolly average about 12 hours of drive time a week.

I usually love to take off and just drive. My parents had a house in upstate NY and that Taconic was just a glorious open road. Lately I've been on and off the open road, or I have 2 new drivers telling me to either GO!!! or slow down...it's not fun anymore. I miss those days. (Me goes off humming Born to be Wild)

Jack Johnson is great driving music. 'specially if you have a ragtop. He makes me want to put my toes to fresh grass.
If you like Jack, check out G Love & Special Sauce (Cold Beverage is the shiz) and maybe even some Stone Roses (Waterfall).
Aw, heck. I'll attach the files. One here, one next post.

Ditched my car. I've been on a bicycle since 1994. No complaints. Got really nice legs, though.
