How many of you smoke mushrooms? ...with results, of course! Apparently, people do it and get effects...more so than eating?
Are the effects greater than if you would have eaten the same amount of mushroom material?

i read some trip reports on erowid where people get really bad lung infections after smoking our little favorite snack, i dunno id stick with eating em. after all they are a fungus and it just doenst seem healthy to smoke them.

This weekend this topic came up while I was hanging with MJ....and a few others from the shroomery.
MJ said that you can't get tore up from smoking shrooms....he would know...lolz
I personally haven't tryed it....and i don't think i will.

personally i would rather roll up some cow dung and smoke it,,, i did smoke mushrooms once and puked for a 1/2 hour------violently, the guy sitin beside me puked from the smell alone.
on the other hand we made a guy(lost a bet) smoke 7 coffee grinded grams and he was never the same,, he started babbling incoherently and couldnt walk properly for like 45 min.----poor bastard fell down 2 flights of stairs but didnt feel a thing??????

I smoked a few grams of wild cubensis and I got a very mild 'hit' but the strength of these mushys was quite weak cuz of the time left in the feild...
I had no sickness tho..

Seems that vaporizing would be preferable to smoking. The cooler temperature might prevent the psilocybin breakdown and one would probably not be inhaling spores and molds that way. Has anyone tried that?

I came across this post and decided to put smoking shrooms to the test. Here is the results...
One toke........ maybe its my imagination, tastes like shit.
Two tokes...... Taste not so bad now. Waited 2 minutes, nothing yet.
Three tokes.... Waited 5 minutes, the colors are vivid.
Four tokes...... Tastes like old resin now. And there it goes, 10 minutes later.
Five tokes....... I dont think I needed that fifth toke!
Conclusion, yes.. smoking shrooms gets you trippin pretty damn good. I think I will crumble one in a B next time. I cant believe how fast it starts!!!

I once smoked a bowl of coffee grinded Cyanescens... I was already stoned and I had also already dosed, lol so I don't know if they did anything. They did taste like shit though. Not as bad as eating them.

There is so much conflicting info on smoking shrooms.
I have a few questions
1- do you us a regular lighter or a vaporizer kind (like for salvia)
2- how long do the effects last? Did you say 10 minutes?
3- how many grams did you smoke?
4- do you have to grind thm up or are chunks ok?

I hate eating shrooms, I have a delicate pallet, and they dont agree with me.

Smoking shrooms does work, its one of the only ways i can consume them, If I eat them I get violently ill always.. so I either make a tea or smoke it..
It does work, I have not experienced anything adverse... well maybe the taste..
Ive found if I mix some Shroom powder with some weed in a blunt
it works well and I get really screwed up.......
I thought everyone would know that ya could smoke shrooms, thought that it was pretty standard...

Ok first of all I think your probbably getting the placebo effect. I cant see how you can smoke shrooms and get any type of hit. Think of it this way would you smoke a store bought mushroom soaked in lsd. Probably not.
Also OracleOfDelphi I am from cheshire about 40 mins from manchester.

ive always smoked weed with shrooms, and it gives me a pretty mellow high. maybe thats just me though, i prefer to eat them though, the taste does not bother me, and i trip nuts for a much longer time then smoking it. i would suggest mixing it with weed if you do!

Oh yeah there is also Co2 poisoning which could add to the placibo effect. If you where able to get some pure crystals Psilocybin and vaporise it then it may be possible otherwise as i have said before I just cant see it. Anyway here is some links that may be usefull :

I think the come up is quicker when smoking and the duration of the high to be alot shorter, your right it is kinda mellow, unles ya do like 50 bong hits... smoke an eighth in yer bong......
I can only drink a tea, for some reason the actual fungus and my body dont get along and I physically am unable to even digest it... anytime ive eaten, I get violently ill for like 4-6 hrs and always have a bad trip...
So I just make a tea, I crush the shrooms up in a sock pretty well.... I then drop the (clean) sock into 1 1/4 cup water in a pot, boil lightly, or even better yet simmer... dont even let it really boil. I do that for about 10 mins and youll notice the water will change color slightly.... Then i remove the sock squeeze all the juice out of it into the pot, take all residual fungus inside sock and feed to willing participent, take water in pot , place new clean sock over Cup, Fill Ice tea mix in cup the way ya like it, Pour Hot Water/Shroom Extraction into the cup through your makeshift sock strainer.... DO NOT USE A COFFEE FILTER!!!!! Sock strainer will catch minute particles leaving you with clear liquid in cup...
Now mix the water and tea mixture.... itll be kinda hot... so drop a few ice cubes in it.... I usually use a 16th or an eighth worth of shrooms for myself. It gets me just as fucked up as everyone else, and I never get sick and for some reason never feel groggy or out of it the next day...
If your gonna make more then 1 cup just double the recipe and the ammount of shrooms you use. Everyone has a different method but I like this cause you cant even taste the shrooms... Tastes like snapple!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember one time it did something, but I have only done it one time. I ate some shrooms, and then later we ran out of herb, and all we had was hash, but all we had were waterpipes, so we packed the hash in the caps of the shrooms, and put them in the waterpipe, and every hit tasted so sweet like strawberries, and every hit threw me further into the void/pattern/, etc. Maybe it was just the shrooms kicking in from the hash, but I think it affected the taste, and affected me. But maybe since you tried it without shrooming, then you have proof it does'nt do something, so I will trust your judgement.

we went out once thinking we were going to hit it, instead we found two old slimy shrooms, feeling dissappointed went back, boiled em up, then two of us drank the tea... being in desperate need of some sort of mental alteration, I then microwaved the leftover mushies, then sprinkled it over some buds then had buckets..... After having quite a few of these, everything started to go white, my legs gave way and I was lying on the floor looking like a complete fool... goin into the bathroom I was trippin and felt like a junkie in a real cheap b grade movie, I felt like shit but something was def. working... hmm those were the days......
