trouble, help!

hey, i have this cake, i'm pretty sure its taz, and it took like 3 weeks for it to pin, but now its goin like crazy except the shrooms are really skinny and small, about 3 inches, and now some of the veils are breaking. I needed some nice caps to make prints but i don't think its gonna happen, the caps are about an inche in diametre. Any suggestions to keep em growing without sporulating yet?

Cant stop them from doing that....but your shrooms shouldnt really be all that skinny...skinny shrooms usually means a high c02 level....you might want to try fanning more often for your next flush..it could also be the reason why it took 3 weeks to pin

ok, thanks guys, and a related question, when you do the air pump in glass of water thing, do you just leave it going 24/7 or do you have it on a timer?

I dont use an air pump and bubbler...but I would assume it could run 24/7...if you are using the bubbler do you have way for the c02 to escape...like some holes drilled in the bottom...maybe right above the perlite layer if you're using perlite?
