Getting back on the wagon

So, here's the story:
Several months ago I tried making poppy tea. I found it enjoyable, a great relaxation aid, etc.
I used it no more than twice a week, though that would usually result in constipation, so most of the time it was just once a week.
Then, I made the biggest mistake ever: I got really drunk, came home and thought it would be a good idea to make some in my very intoxicated state. I vomitted for the next 24 hours straight.
Anyway, that was about 3 months ago, and I'd like to get back into it, since it did have a positive effect on my life. The only problem is, the taste/smell now instantly makes me want to hurl, even in VERY weak brews.
So, I put it to you guys: does anyone have any recommendation on how to get past the initial dose? I have a feeling that if I can just manage one initial positive experience, it will be enough to get going again, but I need to somehow hold it down long enough for that first experience.
So...any ideas?

I wouldn't think so. Once you get that taste aversion it sticks for a long, long time, if not forever.
I would try to mask the taste somehow. Possibly with flavored coffee or tea.

it's really a mental thing, but unfort. its part of your body's self-defense aginst yourself, so for the most part, you will just need to get over the taste.
I had the same thing happen to me with Bacardi Limon about 6 years ago, and I still get sick when I smell the stuff.
