Birth and Death....
    #5892616 - 07/23/06 10:06 PM (17 years, 6 months ago)

Just a few cool pics kinda related with Mushroom Hunting..
Got a Nice Cube Youngster growing from a patty.
A Assassin Bug gets away with a tasty lil snack.. I guess its swift Justice as the lil snack is a Mushroom Maggot.
Then a Banana Spider gets himself a June Bug.
And A Cicada is born along with a Swallow Butterfly..

Those are some freakish spiders. We get quite a few of those in Japan as well. Always nice when you turn a corner and realize that one of huge freakish things almost almost touched down on your nogin like a lunar lander. I don't like spiders as it is, but these things are monsters.

Have you seen the Spider Dance??

heh, it is not a voluntary jig, but for anyone who's been there after I've walked through a spiders web, you know what it looks like.

Yes, as do I.
But sometimes I am caught off guard, or worse, I suspect there is a web in my path, yet I can't locate any sticks!  Damn the suburbs.

Around here you can can't go for a walk in the woods without walking through several webs. The original reason I started taking a stick was for spider webs. Good thing about it being a woods is there are sticks everywhere you turn.

In a lot of swamp like areas with very thick undergrowth there are often snakes, or other fast reptiles down under all of the foliage.. so I throw chunks of sticks and rocks into certain places before even stepping into it. The noise or commotion is usually enough to scare things away.
