New here, And new to mushrooms

Hello everybody! I am so glad we have discovered this website, what an extremely useful thing! We (we being me, my other half; Floyd, and our room mate) are new to hunting mushrooms. Me and Floyd have never tripped before, although we have been hunting twice, and have found two variety's of mushrooms for others. And our room mate is allergic to all but the magic variety of mushrooms, which really scares me, because even non-poisonous mushrooms have the potential to do him much harm. We are planning on tripping sometime soon... patiently searching for a babysitter (we have two little ones) I do have a question. I am not breastfeeding at this time, but chances are, I will have another kid, and I am a born-again hippie which means of course breastfeeding. Does anyone know if mushrooms which are accepted as generally safe can pass into breast milk, or cause ANY effects in breastfeeding youngsters? Looking forward to a long relationship with this board... Peace, Love, and to each his own!

ive never heard of mushies being passed into breast milk before, but then again thisdrug hasnt gotten much labratory time either. so to be safe i say when you have the kid no mushies, youll have already gone 9 months without them so a few more cant hurt. as for your friend i would suggest getting an epi-pen just to be safe, just tell them to go to the doctors and tell them they got stung by a bee and had a little difficulty breathing and would like an epi-pin just in case.

I think there is a good chance that psilocybin would be excreted in breast milk, but the halflife is 163min ± 64min (wiki link), so depending on the dose you can safely assume that after a couple days there will be zero left in practical terms. After 1-3 days usually nothing can be detected. If you give yourself a couple weeks buffer IMO you will have no worries.
Not sure if I should welcome you considering your reg date, but happy b-day and nice to see ya in any case!

The kid is like 10 years old now, probably should be off the breast milk.
