Liquid Culture

Can you burry the contents of a liquid culture in a casing instead of cakes or burry it outside in a cowpoo/hay mix?

Not exactly burry, but more like put the vermaculite at the bottom of container, then the LC content then the 50/50 mix.

Yes you can

Well, does this mean it would work without problem or yes in theory I could drag my lazy ass outside and put the LC in an outside pile of poo and hay that has been pasturized.

No but really, so if I covered the LC with a casing then it would TECHNICHLY be the same as a cake in a casing? I want to know becuase I have trouble with contams in cakes and I wanted to see the difference in the results with an LC.

No, first off, there's no nutrients for the myc to eat. second off, you can't fully colonize a puddle. Therefore, if you tried to do this, your casing would definately contaminate your puddle, and there would be no mushrooms... Plus, mushrooms need an anchor... are you suggesting your shrooms anchor to your liquid?

sorry, if it works, i'll be amazed... I've seen crazy shit, like an LC pinning, but that was in a sterile environment... so sorry... the answer is no.

No. You won't get anything trying to fruit or case a LC. That doesn't even make any sense.

Well thanks for trying to help me. I guesse I'll just incuolate with the LC. Should help in contam resistence becuase it grows faster. Anyways, thanks again and the info really helped, I'm glad people are willing to answer dumb questions
