Colonization Question

Buenos Dias,
6 days ago I inoculated 11 1/2 jars with B+ and one jar with spores I ordered over a year ago (I believe they were EQ spores). I had no hopes for the old syringe, but what the hell ya know? Anyway, all jars where prepared with the PF tek, which was followed to a T. My jars are kept in a TiT incubator and the temp. stays between 81 and 86. Today I checked my jars and the only one with mycelium growth was the jar with the old spores. Could it be that my B+ spores were bunk? Am I being a bit too hasty in my assumption that something isn't quite right with those eleven jars? Any help/suggestions/comments/etc would be greatly appreciated.
Gracias, Farnaby

I would give it a little bit more time. A few of mine took a while to start showing colonization. As far as i know spore syringes can last a very long time if not left in extreme conditions. If you bought your B+ from a reputable source they are most likely good..

One generally should not give up on jars until two weeks have passed.

your jars are probably fine, but i recommend keeping your temps away from 86F because thats right at the peak of colonization temps (if that makes sense) above 86F and myc growth rapidly slows. remember the jars creat their own heat so the center of the jars will be warmer than the air around them

Thanks for all the suggestions! I turned the heater down to the 81/82 range.

Speaking of a reputable source, has anyone purchased anything from sporestore.com before?

Ok, so today was 2 weeks and I still have no signs of growth (good or bad) in 11 of the twelve jars. So my question now.... Conceding that these jars will never grow, can I just rinse them out, PC them, and re-use them?
