hey guys, alright i found probably 4 ounces of these weird shrooms in my backyard. I live in NW Ohio and i found these in my mulch and chipped wood on a hot ass day in late july. The caps are scaly and a cinnamon redbrown shade with hints of white, the stems seem to be a similar shade of this cinnamon redbrown and are smooth with a weather strip, the gills are weird, on the edges they are a darker red brown and seems to lighten to white as they reach the stem and cap. If anyone can ID these thank you so much.(heres some pics)

Most likely candidate, methinks, given yarrrrrrrrrrrrr location,
and it being july and all, and deathly-hell hot...
Lepiota americana.
Good food, when fresh. They are rather large and stain red vividly. I've seen so many in landscaped Taco Bell drive-throughs and city parks in cincinnati and around columbus...
They're also beautiful mushrooms.
The killer lepiotas are very small... so be careful with similar mushrooms that are less than a few inches across the cap...

Okay, I know this ID is from 2 days ago, But I remembered seeing a mushroom on mykoweb that looked just like these, but it was not a Lepiota... Well I finally found it, and naturally, it's the same mushroom as "Lepiota americana", yet has been reclassified as Leucoagaricus amaricanus because DNA studies show that this mushrooms closest relatives reside in the genus Leucoagaricus rather than the more distant Lepiota.
Anyway, here are some photos
