Quote:
Healers have a profound sense of idealism derived from a strong personal morality, and they conceive of the world as an ethical, honorable place. Indeed, to understand Healers, we must understand their idealism as almost boundless and selfless, inspiring them to make extraordinary sacrifices for someone or something they believe in. The Healer is the Prince or Princess of fairytale, the King's Champion or Defender of the Faith, like Sir Galahad or Joan of Arc. Healers are found in only 1 percent of the general population, although, at times, their idealism leaves them feeling even more isolated from the rest of humanity.

I am a teacher too. I feel like that is my role more times than not as well.
I'm the same. I think that evaluation explained me quite well but that could be just how i'm interpreting it. Plus it was saying good things so i'm bound to agree,, .

I took this test in a class and the results were the exact opposite of the ones I just got.

I got INFP as well. However, like all tests like there, I find it really hard to answer YES or NO to questions. There were many questions I had no strong feeling toward yes or no. I agreed with some of the parts of the description but there were parts that were very unlike me. It seems strange to have a machine sort out answers and assess your personality.

My type is INTJ. I have actually known about this before reading this post and studied it quite comprehensively. I also presume that Terence Mckenna was an INTP. Does anyone agree?

ENTJ Field-Marshal Rational
It applies.
One thing I think that really made me pause was:
" You are strongly touched by the stories about people's troubles "
I have absolutely no empathy or compassion for people that I do not love. I can understand why they do things they do, sometimes very insightfully.
Even people I love, I am not TOUCHED by them, I do my best to help them with whatever I can, because I protect and serve those I love.
The fact that there's people I love is the only thing that lets me seem human.

my problem with these tests is that they assume being logic oriented and emotional are mutually exclusive. Im lots of both.

INTP!!
Strong on the IN, weaker on the TP.
I found some of the questions extremely difficult to answer. Like the question "You think almost anything can be analyzed". I wanted to say 'sure anything can be analyzed, but sometimes it isn't very useful'.
I also realize this thread is 2 years old but I couldn't find the more recent one on personality type.

ESFP
"Like the other Artisans, Performers are incurably optimistic - "Always look on the bright side," is their motto -- and they will avoid worries and troubles by ignoring them as long as possible. They are also the most generous of all the types, and second only to the Composer Artisans [ISFPs] in kindness"
I used to be optomistic. I see the world as a cruel, dirty, shitty place. I have been forced to conform to society and all it's bullshit so I can get that steady paycheck to pay for my kids and fiance. I feel like I gave in, because money IS important. Fuck the world. Fuck the politicians, fuck the government, fuck them taking taxes from me and living in their mult-million dollar homes while I fucking scrape by working my ass off.
Fuck it all! I look forward to all bible thumping prophecies and other semi-related conspiracy theories. Besides my kids and fiance, I hope you and I all go up in flames
Life is a fucking grind, the only escape being our seflish indulgences.
I haven't been able to sleep at night properly for 8 years, unless I'm piss drunk wasted(which is also why I have probably drank copius amounts of alcohol in my adult life) because I'm constantly fending off millions of thoughts racing in my mind. I'm thinking about past events, current events and future events, while thinking about what I should of done, could of done and did do. Between just daily interactions with every human being and my financial situation, I'm constantly feeling stressed and anxious. Lack of sleep and that constant hammering on my mind makes me moody.
I will admit, there are things I love about life. But those are simply my selfish indulgenes mentioned above. I love my kids. That's a biological impulse engrained in my dna. Protect the offspring. I love my fiance too. My guitar, my music, having laughs with people, a good movie, camping/fishing...all good stuff. All of it formentioned selfish indulgences to try and distract me or help me cope with the actual state of the world and me. When you pull it all back and take away all the self indulgences and distractions, it looks fucking grim and depressing to me.
Hardly optomistic anymore.
Is that a ESFP? FAIL!
edit: I should note that I woke up early on saturday with the baby to let the fiance sleep. I feel grumpy, exhausted and tired. I'm unusually pessimistic this morning I will re-read and possibly reevaluate how I truly feel after some coffee and a shower

ISFP - Composer Artisan
More than the other Artisans, Composers are in tune with their senses, and so have a sure grasp of what belongs, and what doesn't belong, in all kinds of works of art. While the other Artisans are skilled with people, tools, and entertainment, Composers have an exceptional ability-seemingly inborn-to work with subtle differences in color, tone, texture, aroma, and flavor
Funny, I don't see myself as artistic at all. But the part about subtle differences in color, etc, is true.
