Ok.. ok.... shit....

I come home to fan my little ones (who have not yet even begun to pin) to find that several of the hypheal knots have turned a very light blue *possibly green* tint....
WHAT CAN I DO TO SAVE THEM???!!!
is it possible to spray them with H2O2 lightly? like with cobweb mold?

They may be drying out......what is your humidity level at?? IF your using a casing, your casing layer may be too dry.. if this second is true, then mist it lightly with peroxide water or just plain sterile water until you see pins form.

I doubt it's contamination. If your seeing blueing and your humidity is proper than those cakes are probably matted. You can tell if they are as they will seem to have a thick "skin" on them. You can scratch them with a fork and you should see pins in a day or two afterwards. If you're not sure, just scratch a couple of them. If I'm wrong it won't hurt them anyway.

I scratched them and got off the mild blue that was 'inside' the knots... the whole area was generally clean and now the blue is back with a vengence... it is definatly blue... somehow I think its just natural... like the blueing from brusing...
ill just wait it out... havent heard of any blue contams... im probably just being a mushroom hypocondriac.... now it just seems dumb... just want these babys to be okay

you should have listened and not tried to "scratch" the blue off... blue is bruising...and it "came back with vengence" after you scratched it becuase you bruised the hell out of it... just be patient... if their drying out you might want to inject some water.

it only came back in a small amount... well it came back a lot more than it was but it wasnt much to begin with...
i realize now that i was just overreacting... i seriously dont think they are dry... but ill add some more water to the perlite
they were fully colonized in about 10 days and i birthed them at 11-12 days... i dont know much about pinning invitro
ill wait it out... im sure its nothing now... its not green so im not worried...
