P Strain Not pinning

I have no idea what is the problem, AFOAF birthed 2 p strain cakes 4 days ago and nothing is happening
The temp ranges between 70-75 degrees
with humidity between 85-95, constant air exchange, marine glow light (12/12) with some indirect light

Any suggestions,from the mushroom gods?

i recently had a similar problem, but with the ecuadorian strain. i was quite distressed. i had 24 cakes total, and after around a week and a half with no pins, i tried several different things, including dunking, casing, and cold-shocking. i just ended up destroying 11 cakes. in the end, patience was the key. the thirteen cakes i did not mess with ended up pinning on their own.

don't mess with them, just keep them healthy with the conditions you currently have, and have patience. they will grow on their own accord, just have patience. remember, no matter what the posts on these boards say, the mushrooms follow their own timeline, not ours.

I don't know what a "marine glow light" is but it may not be of sufficient intensity to produce a good pinset. 15-30 watt fluorescents are perfect.

thats odd-my ecuadors pinned very fast-i didnt have to do anything-i can barelly keep it under 80 degrees in here and they seem to love it-
prints for a buck!

i thought as long as the mycellium was exposed to light and it wasnt to *INTENSE* that didnt matter-i thought they get nothing out of light-only direrction to grow-

Marine glow is a 20 watt, 2 ft flourescent all it produces is blue spectrum light
it for saltwater fishtanks i highly doubt its the light because they get other indirect light from a window. I guess I just have to wait it out. I wish it did not take so long.

So I should not do anything? What about the raising the temp?

after a week-i was thinking the same about my casing-i asked my wife,*should i cold shouck it?*
she said no-give it another day-
i did and now i counted over 200 pins in a 15 inch by 8 inch casing(2 cakes)those measurments may not be exact its a rubbermaid shoebox cover with foil-
just have paitence-how long has it been in there?
