Day 7 since birthing...only one pin!!

Birthed on 7/14, lots of mycelium growing everywhere and one pin on one cake.
Humidity is 95% steady, temps 75-80deg.
Am I being impatient or should I adjust some of my parameters?
I've been told that my humidity is to high, and that its too low, what to believe?
Should I just continue to wait? Is patience the key? Or should I be having more pins by now....lots of the little white knots everywhere, and lots of fluffy mycelium too. Please help ease my mind, this is my first time shroom-growing and I'm freakin out alittle...I really wanna succeed!!!!!
With Perfect Love,
Phungi

temps should really be 72-78*F, 80*F is a little high. relative humidity for cakes, 95-97%, rH for casings 80%. are u casing? do u own a camera? take pics! and, if u see alot of little knots, that could be hyphae.. (hyphal knots)
i think, be patient, but the temp could come down for sure.

No not casing...using cakes, yes hyphal knots that what they are.
I'll borrow my bro's cam and post some pics tonight.

Thanx for the response.

the only thing wrong with your parameters... is your time frame.
leave things alone. be patient. pins usually form at day 7-10. for one to show up at 7 days is good, and is a little early. there will be others, they will come soon, relax.

now that I've removed the standing water my humidity has dropped from 95% to 91%. The tek says this is too low, I think.

You'll want 95-98% RH with cakes so do what you must. BTW 80% is too low for casings I don't care what anybody says that just puts too much demand on your substrate as well as you if you want any type of decent yield as well as multiple flushes.
-------------------- Getting the most out of your casings!, A pinning strategy. Oyster Shell "Flour" $2 for 1lb. a hell of a deal Not what is overlay but rather what overlay is Gas Exchange vs. FAE "We all have priorities. I used a closet once setup a nice little lab trouble was all the shit that was in there ended up in the bedroom that pissed off the GF then I ended up dumping her as she was getting in the way of my sterile culture technique! Ya I got priorities too!!!"

Good advice hyphae. There's nothing wrong with a little standing water at the bottom of your perlite. It will ensure a constant high humidity.
