I don't really know much about outdoor cultivation of mushrooms since I've been mostly focused on getting my indoor one working. But, I have two two-pint jars of liquid culture left over, not even opened. What if I just dumped them on a big pile of compost? I have access to horse poo that I could mix in there if necessary. Is it too late in the year? I'm in Minnesota, and most of the information I've read about outdoor grows indicates that it's better to be further south. Am I screwed? Thanks for any and all info you can provide!

First off nice to meet another shroomery member from Minnesota! I don't think it should be too late in the year to get an outdoor grow going. I remember coming across one of Joshua's outdoor growlogs where he said that he was still getting fruitings with temps into the 60's and that was in October or so and on the west coast. I think you should be fine with all the good weather we have ahead of us.

Oyster Shell "Flour" $2 for 1lb. a hell of a deal Not what is overlay but rather what overlay is Gas Exchange vs. FAE "We all have priorities. I used a closet once setup a nice little lab trouble was all the shit that was in there ended up in the bedroom that pissed off the GF then I ended up dumping her as she was getting in the way of my sterile culture technique! Ya I got priorities too!!!"
